The Shanghai Industrial & Business Park is situated west of the Shanghai Comprehensive Industrial Development Zone, covering 1,700 mu (Chinese acres), about 1,130,000 square meters. It is adjacent to Hu-Hang Superhighway to the east, the downtown area to the north, and wharf area to the south.
The Park is proposed as a model for modern Shanghai comprehensive development. The focus of development in the Shanghai Industrial & Business Park will be on the technology industry. The development timeframe is 5 years. The Park will be completed in 3 Phases. Phase 1 will mainly be the completion of the installation of the infrastructure, public utilities, civil pipe, and linking roads. Phase 2 targets the technology industry, relevant facilities and high-rise office buildings. Phase 3 will focus on construction of factories of all new enterprises in the park.
RMB ¥3.5Billion will be invested in Phase 1. The static investment return period of RMB ¥3.5Billion is 8 years (including a 5-year Construction Period).
